Up Roman History Medieval History Geometry

6th Grade Roman History

Here are two 2-page spreads from my son Daniel's Roman History Main Lesson book. Top left is an excerpt from Macaulay's poem Horatius Keeps the Bridge, illustrated on the right. Below left is Daniel's illustration of Hannibal crossing the Alps, following the last paragraph of a short essay that we wrote about Hannibal. Below right is a mosaic pattern - Daniel found it too difficult to draw freehand, so we used graph paper. He also made a mosaic tile using plaster of Paris and real ceramic tile. Anyone wanting instructions for this as well as general guidance for putting together a Roman History block might like to check out the Christopherus Roman History book (available from our Book Store).
