Here is the second of our second grade language arts main lessons (the other being Saints and Heroes). These are morality tales, tales which carry important lessons for children as they seek to find their own relationship to good and evil and to the nuances of human interaction. Never moralizing, these short stories, many from Aesop's or the Buddhist Jataka tales, are satisfying in their simplicity and timelessness.
